Why we started this journal
Arts to Hearts began as a small table of prints, poetry pamphlets, and books we couldn't stop recommending to friends. The shop grew, but the conversations stayed the same: What are you reading? Who should I gift this to? How do I hang art in a rented flat?
This journal is where we answer those questions in writing — slowly, carefully, and without the noise of a product grid.
What you'll find here
We publish across four lanes, each with a different rhythm:
News & updates
Shipping changes, new arrivals, limited drops, and the occasional note from the counter when a box lands that makes the whole team pause.
Guides & tips
Practical help for collectors, readers, and makers: framing, gifting, journaling, starting watercolor, building a gallery wall on a budget.
Store & team
Honest behind-the-scenes pieces — how we choose stock, what we're trying on sustainability, and thank-yous when community support carries us through a quiet week.
Community
Book club prompts, local author spotlights, poetry picks, and ideas for gatherings that center stories and art.
How we write
We don't chase trends for the sake of clicks. Each piece is edited by someone who actually works the floor — which means recommendations come from real conversations, not algorithmic lists.
A good journal entry should feel like the best five minutes in the shop: specific, warm, and useful the next day.
Start anywhere
If you're new here, try a reading list, skim a gift guide, or browse by category. If you've shopped with us before, welcome back — pull up a chair.
We update several times a month. Subscribe on the homepage if you'd like the highlights in your inbox.
Have a topic you'd like us to cover? Tell us at the counter or through our contact page — we keep a running list on the staff clipboard.
Questions new readers ask
How often do you publish? Several times a month — quality over a fixed calendar. Member email gets the digest.
Can I suggest topics? Yes. Contact page or counter clipboard. We prioritize questions we hear twice.
Is everything shoppable? Some posts link to collections; others are pure editorial. We'll always say when something is sponsored (rare).
Visit the shop
We're easiest to love in person: talk to staff, flip pages, see print colors in real light. Hours on the contact page. Bring your wall photos — we'll sketch layouts for free.
